inspired by Shensakai in Osaka, Japan. I was so intrigued by all the carnival games and booths mixed in with restaurants and souvenir shops. It felt so familiar, like being at a state fair in the US, but also so foreign and novel at the same time. I loved the clash of cultures and wanted to capture it in paint.
