This piece was inspired by some incredible cloud formations that arrived right after a tornado touched down near Chicago, and then the weather cleared and it looked like a glowing pink mountain range had erupted behind the skyline. Truly the most memorable sunset I’ve experienced in a long time. So naturally I had to paint this beauty that came after so much darkness.
